Much about the women's march disturbs me.  First of all, I believe in equal pay for equal work, I believe that women are entitled to equal dignity that she shows the people around her, and as most of you know, I am pro-choice.  That does not mean that I am pro-abortion, but I am in favor of leaving the decision in the hands of a woman, her partner, her doctor and her beliefs and taking it out of the hands of the government.  But walking the streets dressed as a vagina or with "pussy" hats on their heads does little to promote the issue, other than to make women look ridiculous.  And the speakers did nothing to promote the rights of women.  Being anti-Trump is not going to accomplish anything.

Feminism is different now than it was in the days of Gloria Steinham.  Those days were a radical change of how woman were viewed and treated and the expectation of what it was to be a woman in society.  Some women now would paint it with the same broad brush, that in my view, it isn't that at all.  It is accepted that women are in the workplace, the glass ceiling has been shattered and women have most of the "rights" that were back then, denied to them.  Most of the men I know support equal pay for equal work and I know from personal experience that the attitude towards women in the workplace has changed radically for the better.

One thing I noticed about this march is that it was not just focused on women - it was anti-Trump, it was about climate, it was about healthcare.  Women who supported Trump were not welcome.  And the speakers reflected a certain radicalness.  And as far as celebrities and famous - these people don't have anything to do with women and their lives.  It was more to promote them and celebrate themselves.  Just as I believe Hillary doesn't really give a damn about women's lives, nor do these women.
