Kasich is nobody's "perfect" candidate, so he doesn't get the attention he deserves.  

As to Ryan being chosen in a contested convention, such a move would be bad.  Right now he is two heartbeats from being president anyway (if O croaks, Joe Biteme becomes pres, and if he were to croak the Speaker of the House is next in line, then the President ProTem of the Senate).  I am confident I am not telling you anything new, but some of the other forum members might need a reminder.  BTW, when I was on active duty I spent three years with NEACP- also known as the Doomsaday Jet.  One of the things we did was get constant updates on the location of the VP, Speaker, and PresProTem.....just in case something drastic happened and we had to figure out who the pres was and where to go pick him up.
