I don't have a problem with fishermen, except that they could hook a line into the upholstry of my boats. But that hasn't happened in 10 years and it's not something I worry about. I used to enjoy fishing myself. I have to say that for the most part, we don't have a problem in our slough, except for the occassional jet skier who seems to think it is fun to race up and down our slough and some boaters. The biggest fear I have is that so many of my neighbors have grandchildren playing in the water and swimming and we don't want any mishaps there. One day I noticed that someone came roaring down our slough while one of the part time neighbors had kids swimming. I heard him yell and the boat slowed down. I think if most people would just use some common sense, there wouldn't be as many complaints as there are. We're lucky because we live here full time, so when the weekends are busy, we just wait for during the week and have a nice gentle boat ride and hopefully doesn't hurt the environment or the shoreline.
