I am not a sitter and I really can't make any recommendations, except to google to see if there are any pet sitters listed with any of the companies out there.  And I believe there is one that recommends caregivers, babysitters and pet sitters.  I didn't have any luck when I looked for my dogs, but cats are much easier.

I will say that if anyone wanted to start a pet sitting business, they could do very well as long as they are reliable and do not overcharge.  The need is out there.  Best if you can get the Petsitters certification, be bonded and insured.  I've thought about it several times, but I don't want to be tied down to a schedule.  Obviously you have to like animals.
