Most folks around LM are simply people, just trying to get along in difficult times. "Lake People" as stereotyped above will be welcomed with open arms,,,, as long as you approach the ""Locals"" on a casual basis, without the need to impress them with your degrees, your wealth, your social status, your background, or your political position.
Otherwise, sell out and move to Palm Beach, where those traits are needed.
Learn from those "locals". Ask questions, and then shut your mouth, and listen to them. Just might learn something and have a blast with it.
