Not to belabor the topic, but has HOBO's or LMRA, et al, had any impact on the cleanup effort? Considering the level of lake owner taxes going to Elmore,Tallapoosa counties as well as Alex City and Dadeville, I would expect those entities to be heavily involved. Maybe they are, but I have not heard them mentioned here or in the media? If not, maybe HOBOS/LMRA could apply some guidance.
Within a few days after the storms, the media moved on to the next disaster; the local news went dark. If you know the current status in the damaged areas, maybe consider a newsletter from HOBO, published here and elsewhere, giving an update, as well as specifics on how those of us not hurt can help in any way?? Fat, Dumb and Happy in this case is decidedly uncomfortable.
