Understand that this isn't exactly lake related, but I wanted to sing their praises anyway. My BIL/SIL's lab got really sick while they were down at the beach. They took him to the emergency clinic down there, but they couldn't find anything. Took him to our local vet, and she couldn't find anything either on Xrays or bloodwork. She referred him to the Auburn clinic and they saved his life. He had a small tear between his intestines and stomach. He was a very sick doggy. Today he's coming home.
Last year, they treated my cat. Unfortunately, I lost him, but they were able to diagnose him -- it was cancer. The student who treated him, and the attending vet, were very nice, very gentle and very honest.
I'm just in awe of the vet school clinic. A referral is needed from your regular vet, but they are wonderful. Very professional, and very caring. They also go over the options for treatments and the cost of each option, in case cost is a factor.
I know a lot of the local vets around the lake went there.
