Heh...who would have guessed? U Chicago study indicated that student loan borrowers that were forgiven have largely replaced that debt with new debt so they can buy stuff. That my friends with a modicum of understanding of economics is how things like this add to inflation. Artificial demand created by govt borrowing money to eliminate someone's debt just so they can replace it with new debt and go out and buy stuff.
As if this wasn't bad enough, for a fairly large number of deadbeat recipients who weren't paying their loans anyway, they still have bad credit and no real improvement in their monthly cash flow. So if you combine these people with the profligate spenders above about all we tax-paying folks who paid our debts get is higher costs and more inflation and an even larger number for our portion of the national debt. Free money causes inflation every single time.
