The thing is this: People believe what they believe, and by the age of most of the members of this forum (self included), it's not likely to change. I think you should complete the context in which MLK said this, and not cherry pick a quote from a much larger thought.
Just because what someone else believes is different than you believe, doesn't make them ignorant - it just makes them different. We're all a product of our education and experience. There are people on this forum that are much, much more conservative than I am and I'm okay with that. I don't understand the name calling, but I think it must be a male thing.
Right now the press is in a frenzy about Trump allegedly saying "sh_t hole countries. But isn't it interesting that everyone knew just what countries he was talking about, so this leads me to conclude that what they are really upset about is that he didn't use a more PC term.
