Since we are assured by the "experts" that the planet only has a few years before we all DIE, without any scientific evedince to prove their theory, I have a plan to finance the fight against Climate Change.  Since the exanding ice caps are melting and we are told that seal levels will rise to the level of flooding all the beaches and major cities along all of our coast the government should seize all property below say 25ft above sea level.  It's going to be under water and worhless soon anyway so why not just condem it and move on.  Then the Government can turn around and sell all that property on the open market to skeptics that are willing to gamble that the cataclismic sea level rises won't really affect them at all.  Think of the billions, hell maybe trillions of new revenue that the politicians could squnader and launder back to them and their family all while "saving the planet", you know, "for the kids" and democracy of course.

Pros:

1. Satisfies the tax the rich crowd. Most beach proerty is woned by wealthy people.

2. Will add Trillions to the economy as folks by and flip the properties.

3. All of New Orleans  and large portions of other cities could be bought and totally redeveloped.  Except Port Author, TX, nobody would buy that excrement hole and it should be left to return to nature.

4.  It would reduce CO2 substantially because rich liberals couldn't be jetting in for weekends, at least not until their politricians buddies sell it back to them for pennies on the dollar in the best interest of economical development and employment, and fo course for the children.

Cons:

1. Some radicals, terrorists, and patriats might not want to give up thier property and leave requiring the government unleash angry mobs of liberals, BLM, Antifa mostly peacefull protesters to persuade them.

2. What do you mean?  Their are no cons.
