Have been following this with some interest because having the NSA engaging in spying on media they don't like is particularly scary. Media response was as predictable as the sun rising in the east and setting in the west. However, the NSA and Psaki responses were chilling. Psaki chose to remind the reporter that asked the question that the NSA was a foreign intelligence agency and then referred them to NSA. Not exactly a strong denial which means they are likely concerned that he has actual evidence beyond an anonymous whistleblower.
The NSA response was about as bad as Slick Willie's "I never had sex with that woman". And their apparent refusal to directly answer his question about whether they are reading his personal emails was even more telling. They too I suspect are concerned that Carlson has hard evidence. Otherwise, their response would have been a blanket denial. I saw a lawyer that had marked up their response which is attached below and is spot on. A non-denial denial, carefully crafted in case he has actual evidence.
