Goofy, you are such a complete partisan joke and historically ignorant thinking this dysfunction started with McConnell, like the last two years of Trump's administration never happened.  Read a little history some time and you will see that partisanship has waxed and waned over time based on the people and the circumstances.  I think fist fights and duels are probably a little more partisan than ugly tweets or snide remarks.  And yes, when the President wants to do something that the other party thinks is harmful to the country they are going to oppose it.  I know, for leftists history always starts wherever it is convenient to them.....such is their invincible ignorance.

But partisanship is not the problem with Congress and never will be.  The problem with Congress is they no longer want to do their jobs.......and be assured, this is a bipartisan phenomenon.  They have abrogated their responsibility to the administrative state.  We can't blame them if most of the "laws" we have to suffer under are really in the form of "rules and regulations" created by unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats in some obscure agency in the bowels of a bloated and corrupt government.  So Congress passes these thousand page monstrosities filled will nonsense and then turn it over to the agencies the interpret what they meant and create all the rules and regulations.  When bad things or unintended consequences happen, and they always do, the administrative state blames Congress and the law and Congress blames the administrative state.  Trust me, I see this every single day in just one area of the government (environment).  It is the same or worse in other areas.  Congresspeople focus on getting elected and blaming others for their mistakes and the administrative state is pretty much untouchable, if you could even figure out who came up with these awful rules and regulations.
