So traveled to Auburn, Washington, just south of Seattle, this past week to do some work at a Government-owned laboratory that contains one or more of every type of device found in DoD hospitals. Didn't think much about where I was going, other than I had to spend more time inside an airplane than I prefer getting there. Got in late Monday, checked in to the hotel, and when I went to breakfast noted that all the tvs were set on MSNBC. So I go to the lab and as the week went on I noticed they were understaffed. Seems the reason is that when they try to hire, either the applicant can't pass the pee test or just doesn't bother to come back to take it. Seems Washington, like Colorado, has legalized marijuana. The potential applicants to the government jobs had rather go across town to work for Microsoft or Amazon where they can smoke pot all they want.
Not only is it legal, apparently it is rampant. As I was waiting to turn into the airport rental car return I noticed this huge billboard advertising "Joint", claiming to be the closest marijuana store to the airport.
It is bad enough having to deal with DUIs in Alabama, but could you imagine having to deal with DWS, "Driving While Stoned" as well?
