Not sure how he does it but Trump prior to 1999 was a Republican and from 1999 to 2012 he was variously a Democrat, Indiependent and Reform Party member.  Then in 2012 he apparently returned to the GOP.  So over at least the last 15 years he has only been a Republican for the last three.  Combine that with Clinton's call asking him to run makes me very skeptical.
