I had not planned on that but now that you mention it........a tax write off.......excellent suggestion!
It is indeed in my opinion the best sporting event to attend bar none. Reminds me of a funny story. Friend of mine gets a call on a Friday night and he is asked if he wants a last minute ticket to the Saturday round, including a flight to Augusta on a corporate plane. He is all excited and calls his wife knowing that they had a busy Saturday schedule with kids sports, etc. She reluctantly says OK after he says he knows its bad timing yada yada.....but after all, its the Masters. But she really wanted him to hear her unhappiness and volunteer to stay home and miss a great experience as a testament to his fidelity to his wife and family.
So he goes and has a great time and she is still complaining about it to various people, many of whom respond, "Cindy, after all, its the Masters". The final straw was when she was again complaining ato a priest friend about her husband going on the Saturday and he listens patiently while she explains how disappointed she was in him, how this was an opportunity to do the right thing, make a small sacrifice for the family and to please his beloved wife, etc. And Fr. John's response? You guessed it. "But Cindy, its the Masters!" She started railing that if she hears, "Its the Masters" one more time she was going to scream!
I for one am missing the bachelor party of the son of my best friend but when I explained to him why I would miss it he said, "Hey, no problem, after all it is the Masters". I can't wait to see her and tell her about that....just to hear her scream. :-)
