-I'm no Obama fan, but let's give the guy a break on his religious beliefs and activities. -I don't know what his religious beliefs are. -But like everybody else, I have an opinion and I like to pontificate now and then so here goes... -Based on my observations of him and my readings of his writings, he has no strong feelings for any formal religion or church. -If he was going to St John's every Sunday, a lot of people woould say he was just a phoney. Since he doesn't go every Sunday, a lot of people will say he's not a Christian, ..certainly not a traditional Christian. So the guy play's it somewhere down the middle. -His mother was a radical liberal which usually means little affiliation with conservative churches. his father was a Muslim, and BO lived in Indonesia, the most populated Muslim country in teh world. While there, although he went to a Catholic school for awhile, he was listed as a Muslim and then later attended a Muslim school. After his mothe rdied he was raised by his grandparents who were radical liberals and his closest mentor was an avowed communist. -SO what would one normaly expect of a kid raised that way? ...I would expect a sought of a hybrid religious belief at best ...and atheism as a high probability. -I of course would like him to just declare what his beliefs are. But then I would also like him to open up his birth certificat, ...open up his tuitition records, ...open up his college classes and papers...etc. -I still can't believe the American people and the America press supported a man whom they knew almost nothing about. It still boggles my mind. I don't blame him, I blame us! Pogo was right again!
