When I was 15 I worked at a Piggly Wiggly. Bread was .29 a loaf and gas was .75 a gallon. That is generous actually, because gas actgually fluctuated between .65 and .70. The bread ran on sale the first week of every month at 4/$1. Today that same loaf of Piggly Wiggly brand bread is $2.29. I bought gas today at $2.99. So since 1974 bread has gone up 9 times its price while gas has only gone up 4 times its price. My question to you is, why aren't you cussing the bakeries? It seems to me they are gouging you worse than the oil companies. What about the bakeries 'obscene' profits? What about thier profit margin? Why not boycott bread? Why not have governmet controls on bread prices? And here is the BIG question, how much does the GOVERNMENT make off each loaf of bread?

I'll be waiting to see your answers. I won't hold my breath!!
