That rumor has been floating around the lake since early last season and multiple calls to APCO resulted in there is no planned maintenance to the dam that requires the water to be lowered to any certain level well below normal.

As when the lake floods I am sure APCO would put some sort of notice out for people that have boats or piers that would be affected by such a drop in the water level.
