Watched Biden's weak speech last night. I doubt he changed anyone's mind about anything. While the Middle East tensions are soaring, he had to drag Ukraine into it and attempted to make the case for more funding, including funding for "hunanitairan" efforts in Gaza. No one seems to think that Palestinians will see any of the aid - that Hamas will siphon it off for themselves. There is no reason to think that they won't take it - since they don't mind killing babies in cold bood.
I kept thinking that part of Biden's speech was touting values that no longer exist. We are a country deeply diviided. He hasn't hesitated to deepen the divides whereever he can.
He looked and sounded like a tired old man (he was probably up past his bedtime) and his real purpose was to justify the $1B he is trying to get in aid. Too bad that with no speaker of the house, it's not going to move anywhere, no matter how "urgent" his need.
And in true Joe fashion he reead his instrubtions off the teleprompter (Make this clear) and flubbed his words, particularly at the end. Of course Pelosi and other Dems are praising the speech - but I'll bet most Americasn, if they watched it at all - felt a longing for the past when we had strong leadership. And don't forget 10% off the top for the Big Guy.
