Lets see. He misused money and lied. For that they want to send him to jail. 
Former Pres. Clinton did what?  Perjury to a Grand Jury and sex with an intern.  No jail.  Ah, he was disbarred.  Almost forgot that. Course, lecture circuit etc probably had zero intentions of practicing law again anyways.
Which is worse?
Far as lying to investigators go, I'm all for it.  Till such time as investigators,police etc must always tell the full truth, I cannot accept a person of interest etc being held to a different standard.
