The experts working this issue have repeatedly stated that they expect the number of confirmed cases to increase, most probably because of the increased number of tests being conducted. So absolute numbers like those you state are not an accurate determinant of the rate of increase in infections. More than likely the increase is due in part to increased testing, we just have no way of determining the ratio of positive test results due to increased testing and the actual number of new infections.
Archie, I find your posts arrogant, condescending, and insulting to those on this forum who don't agree with your extreme positions and wild-eyed opinions about those in charge of running our nation. You attribute any disagreement as Trump worship, stupidity, and/or being blind to the "facts" as you see them (in most cases your opinions or numbers twisted so they look like they might support your claims). Many (most?) of the posters you have the most problem with are educated, in some cases HIGHLY educated people of widely varying walks of life. You need to take a step back and think about what they believe and state. Just maybe there is more merit to their statements, facts, and opinions than you are willing to admit.
