The Galvaston storm was terrible, and i agree that the Media now changes a lot
about how we see catastrophes. But the
impact of Sandy was $60 billion (i think that’s the figure, but who really
knows?) because so many people live on the coasts. This was far more than the costs of storms
from 50 yrs ago. The impact of $60 billion damage to the economy every couple
of years is going to be a lot to deal with.
