Beavers mate for life and live and work in a tight family structure where each individual has particular duties. To relocate one could be very detrimental to the family unit. Chicken wire may stop them but you will need several layers. I would use several tomato stakes woven in the mix with the wire to stiffen it enough to make it tough to get through. I fight one in the winter. Apparently they really like turnip greens because they raid our patch nightly if we don't take precautions. I use tomato baskets, wire and stakes to block their path and sometimes they still get through and we have to rebuild the barricade to stop them. I refuse to kill or relocate them so we just plant a bigger, thicker patch to make sure there is enough for all of us...lol
