I don't expect the Trump bump to last. And I don't think it is about Republicans being panicky so much as Republicans being sick of politics as usual. Unless Joe Biteme jumps in on the Democrat side you have a choice there between an avowed socialist and the queen of the privileged set. I strongly suspect her support comes because until lately she seemed a shoo-in and everybody likes a winner. But she isn't Bill and simply does not have his gifts for saying and doing the right thing at the right time. She has the personality of a moldy dishrag. And even the MSM is having a hard time ignoring her many faults.
i also suspect many Republicans are, like I, sitting back and enjoying the spectacle and waiting until the field gets whittled to a reasonable number before engaging. There are a couple who I'd rather not get the nomination, but IMHO, other than Trump just about any of them would be better than the current POTUS or any of the Dem wannabes.
