You will neeed something that will kill weeds and prevent from growing.  Most of the options available to you will prevent for up to one year.  Farmers other commercial businesses can get real good stuff that may do it for multiple years.  Local hardware stores and BIG Box stores (Lowes amd Home Depot) will cary what you need.  Here are a few

Eraser is a post emergent non-selective vegitation killer.  Great for killing growing weeds, but I assume you want something to prevent them from growing back -- spray once in the spring and you are done for the year.  Well maybe.... They arent perfect (the ones you and I can buy).
