Many of you knew Steve Crane (posts under slownez on the forum), so i wanted to share some unfortunate
news. Last Saturday, Steve passed away. He was a friend to many, kept a
watchful eye on Big Beach (he provided those tables many make use of),
and assisted a great number of stranded boaters on the lake over the
years.
He asked not to have a funeral, but did request that his
friends send donations in lieu of flowers to Children’s of Alabama in his
memory.
i have provided the link below to Children’s Foundation.
You may choose to contribute online using the Donate Now button and
have the option to provide Memorial and Tribute information. You
may be designate this for Steven Barry Crane. You can offer the
notification of this gift to be sent to his surviving spouse, Diane Riccio
at 1084 Knollwood Drive, Birmingham, AL 35242
Children’s Foundation of Alabama

There is also a link for Mail in Donations on the page if
you would rather mail in a check. Please specify that it is in memory of
Steve.
We all have been touched by Steve over the years, and it
only seems right that his last request was to once again offer assistance to
others through gifts.

it will be a sad Fall and Summer without him cruising the lake.
