Results pretty much as I expected with the GOP holding the Senate and expanding the majority by at least 2 and up to 4 seats and losing the House. Was much better than historical losses, especially when compared to the number of House seats lost by both Obama and Bush. Obama lost 63 House seats and 6 Senate seats, Trump lost 26 in the House and willikely pick up 4 Senate seats. And this with Democrat enthusiasm at an all-time high and the govt media complex and Hollyweird being all in for their lackeys in the Democrat party and the relentlessly negative coverage of Trump and the obfuscation of the great economy. All in all not a bad result and pretty much confirms that Americans prefer divided government. So four Dem Senate incumbents were defeated and only one GOP incumbent lost. The map favored the GOP and it's even more favorable in 2020 so this is no surprise. And all four incumbents voted against Kavanaugh and the only one that didn't and won was Manchin.
Assuming McSally (AZ) and Rosendale (MT) hang and win by far the best news would be that RINOs like Collins and Murkowski will no longer have the same influence they did when the majority was so small. Especially since we no have Romney who I can assure you will be a RINO of the first order.
I hope and pray that the Democrats put Pelosi in the Speaker's chair. That will help bigly in 2020, especially since we know they will nominate a left wing nut socialist.
So the mid-term had something for everyone to like and no doubt Trump is the happiest. No blue wave.
Some notable losses and wins (for me anyway).
In Georgia it looks like Kemp will hold on and win but it should be a wake up call that it was this close, especially given the many flaws of Abrams. Had the Democrats nominated a moderate I have no doubt he or she would have won. And in my district Karen Handel lost after having gotten Ossoff off my lawn. Bet he regrets not running again.
In Florida both the Senate and the Governor races were won by the GOP which surprised me given the polls and the number of blue staters that moved there. Was a resounding yes to no state income tax which other than the weather, is why so many people move there.
While Democrats made some gains in the Governorships it was nothing compared to what was predicted and I am sure Iowa, Florida and Ohio are bitter pills to swallow.
Really enjoyed Cruz beating Beto in Texas, especially given the guy had a $40M war chest. Now the left wing nut Hollyweird libtards want him to run for President. Please listen to them Beto!!!
