The "Cookie Dough" investigation is closed! After a lengthy chat with Julie, the owner of A+ Sales my questions have been answered. She was a very pleasant lady, and gladely offered up information about her industry and proffesion. As H20 girl stated, an average of 45% of A+ fundraiser sales go directly back to the school. My personal opinion is that is a very generous amount! According to the Autauga County Public School System, Cookie Dough sales/fundraisers are a profitable and vital part of the financial stability, and an improvement avenue for the School system. It is a preffered fundraiser. I have heard rumors and stories that 5-10% actually get to the schools. Simply not true! In her case, the remaining 55% pays for extra prises, overhead, product, personel, travel, etc. This story indeed has a happy ending. Julie actually guides the children NOT to actively solicit sales alone, or door to door. She feels it is not safe, and encourages students to solicit sales with the parents. Or, have the parents do it for them. She stated more parents should get involved, and gladely fields any questions one may have concerning fundraisers. My feelings have been eased on the Cookie Dough sales. Julie, thanks for your what you do! I appreciate you!
Respectfully, Steve ps. "Geturfactsrite" you had NO bearing on the answer I got to my question. Your intention I assume was to protect the business by standing up. That shows you stand for something, a good thing. I never "bashed" anyone, or any company. Nor will I EVER do such. You however raised doubts in the minds of others about this lady and her profession.
