Is "Border Security" Achievable?

So this week one or more airports were shut down by masses of drones launched into their airspace. Same could be done against border cities because no wall can be built so high that they can't fly over it. The term Border Security is thrown around when in practicality what is meant is illegal human crossing prevention. How many miles of shoreline mak up the US border? We gonna build a wall on every beach?
A wall and increased Border Patrol and ICE presence will certainly deter many Central and South Americans from taking what to this point is a free ride into the US. If Trump is allowed to end the catch and release folly they would be even more deterred from making the attempts. Using military (other than Guard under a Governor's command) in a law enforcement role creates a slippery slope that could end up in the extreme with a despot trying to use the military to take over the entire company. Preventing THAT is what the second amendment is all about.
Let's stop and take time to be thankful that we can have this civil disagreement openly and without fear of reprisal. I understand why you and others feel the way you do but believe we can't just slip into a cocoon and expect not to be attacked where we live and work.
