It's not just the media that are suffering from TDS. The Never Trumpsters are in full rage. Two main takeaways from the meeting for me. First, he is not reducing the sanctions on th Norks until they denuke. To me that is key. Second, he has said that 6 months from now he may have to admit to the American people that the Norks didn't comply. I don't think he is under any illusions about Kim Jong Mentally Un. I heard Tom Cotton (Sen from ARK) this morning and he admitted that while it's distasteful to give Un the kind of reception he got but what makes it different is that he has nukes. We can thank Bill Clinton for that.
My view is I find it highly unlikely that Un will agree to the inspection regime that would truly allow us to verify they have denuked. I hope I am wrong but if I am right then Trump better follow through with what he has said that would mean. No verification, no deal, and we are back to square one. And I completely agree that his decision to suspend the exercises can easily be changed. They can do all the planning for the exercises and all he has to do is put them back on the calendar. They aren't suppsoed to happen until the spring of 2019 anyway. We will know if the Norks are serious well before then.
Now the devil will be in the details. But if Trump pulls this off (which to me seems highly unlikely although well worth the attempt) I can assure you there is still no way he would get the Nobel Peace prize. I mean, look at how mean he is to our trading partners that have been paying for their socialism on the backs of American taxpayers. This crap has to stop, especially since in 25 years Europe will be Muslim controlled.
