Thanks for acknowledging my point, but I think there are forces that tend to make dialogue on certain topics difficult to maintain at a civil level. There appears to be a need for one upmanship that seems to creep in the longer the dialogue continues. We all have a tendency to want others to see our viewpoint or agree to our way of thinking. With that in mind, it is hard to keep all dialogue at a civil level. I also agree with Hodja that certain posts can string you along if you let it, particular if that happens to be part of the poster's intent. Enough said at this point.
Rather than start another post, what I am about to say seems a little "fishy" but I swear it's the truth. When my wife called me to "supper" I sat down to a meal of fried okra, fried fresh corn, fresh tomatoes, cornbread, and ice tea. The only thing missiing was the fried chicken breasts and the apple pie and ice cream. Believe me, my wife had no inkling that I had posted about one of my favorite meals earlier today. She does not even use the computer.
