Speaking of masks and being safe, I read an article months ago that said about the same about keeping a 6 ft. distance from other people. The article pointed out, in scientific terms, that the 6 ft. rule was bogus and that if you were in a room with someone with the virus your chances were about the same as being 6 feet away. It made a great deal of sense.
My problem with masks is that I am claustrophobic, and when I wear one, those feelings start creeping up on me - and if it is warm, I'm having to talk myself down. Most of the time I don't wear one. I am vaxed and boosted and I realize that there is a very low probability that I will get the virus anyway. I rather feel the same about the instant tests. I had to have the big test before my knee surgery last March and it was quite invasive. So as far as I'm concerned the only thing that the quick test tells you is that for that moment in time, assuming you are negative, you don't have the virus. You walk out the door and happen to be in contact with someone that is sick, and there you are.
We have to learn to live with it and do what an individual feels comfortable doing. I have a feeling that its going to be with us for a long time, as it mutates and there isn't much we can do about it. I feel like much more is known about it now, than when it started. Only the media and Joe Biden wants to keep it front and center.
