Anyone have any idea the best way to remove streaks on the sides/panels (not on the pontoons) of pontoon boats?  This seems to be coming from water draining out of the snaps that attach the covers to the railings.  Aparently they "rust" and cause a rather dark blackish vertical streak down the aluminum panel sides.  All cleaners I have tried (not that many) have no effect on these whatsoever and rubbing with a rag and something like 409 does not touch them at all. I can't tell for sure if it is the stud, cap or attaching screw that is causing the metal staining.
Thanks

P.S. I posted this in the general area also as I was not sure where this belonged.
