I don't think the decline in Boy Scouting has anything to do with gay or not leaders.  What I do think has changed is that they now allow girls to be in boy scouting.  I think the age group that is generally attracting boys to scouting generally enjoys doing "boy things" with an audience of girls competing with them.  Girls had their own scouting program.  I think it is sad that everything is now gender neutral.  But I also think that todays kids are not outdoor inclined - they would rather stay in and play video games, than to participate in group activities and learning new skills.  It saddens me to think that an institution like scouting is going to fall by the wayside, because I do think they build character.  I was in girl scouting until I was in intermediate school, and I loved it.
