I posted a letter written to the Decatur Daily earlier and apparently it was deleted. So, I'll post again.

Letter to the Editor

To The Daily:

In response to The Daily’s description of the Republican Party as the party of “no” (Dec. 27), I say:

No to the 2009 projected deficit of $2.4 trillion;

no to a health care bill which adds 111 agencies to the federal bureaucracy;

no to a health care bill granting benefits to 22 million illegal immigrants included in the administration’s figure of 30 million uninsured Americans;

no to reducing Medicare coverage by $565 billion to the elderly who have paid into the system most of their lives;

no to administration plans to grant amnesty to illegal immigrants;

no to extending federal constitutional rights to accused or admitted terrorists by trying them in federal criminal court rather than in military tribunals;

no to the Congressional Budget Office’s projected $20 trillion national debt to be added by Barack Obama’s administration by 2012.

No to Obama’s gratuitous offer to “throw in” $1 trillion into the UN’s global warming initiative;

no to the administration’s plans to cast America into one global government;

no to furthering America’s entitlement culture;

no to Obama’s and Congress’ lies and misrepresentation to America;

no to Obama’s apologies to countries that want to destroy America;

no to tax evaders and criminals in the administration;

no to stimulus legislation including over 900 earmarks;

no to socialism.
