My partner and I launched from the public landing near Camp Chandler at 6:30 AM and fished south on the East side for about a mile. Caught one small spot in the mouth of a slough on a 2 inch Shad Rap in about 10 feet of water. Caught a 2 poind Large Mouth in the back of a slough on a Motor Oil Slider in about three feet of water. Switched to the west shore about 1/2 mile above the dam. Caught a 3 pound Large Mouth in the flats (about 8 feet of water) on a pink trick worm. Ran down the channel about a half mile and floated back up to the main lake on a reverse current with the wind from the southeast pushing us a a good clip. We were dragging green 6 inch worms. Caught a one and a half pound spot. All of this prior to noon. Fished until 3 PM with no other hits.
