Instead of worrying about what YOU are going to do, think about what the boat is NOT going to do: it's not going to float out somewhere and create a hazard for an unwary boater. And while it's tied up all safe and sond, you can still do the things you have been advised to do: call the marine police, and call APC. You might even check to see if it still has the registration number on the bow, which could be used to find the owner.
I'm actually a little surprised that your initial reaction was along the lines of "This THING is in MY way!! I'm inconvenienced! Is it OK with everybody if I just destroy it instead of trying to find the rightful owner? Or should I let it become a hazard?"
Maybe I shouldn't be surprised. Times on the lake have changed, and so have the people.
