Yep, west side of the wide area NW of the marina. About half mile as the crow flies.
Top is at 512', if I remember that right, and disappears from sight easily if the lake is that high.
Something like 35 feet to bottom under the rock overhang, too, again if I remember right. So not real deep when that picture was made, but like many places it drops fast out from there. The other side between the island and lake shore is much less steep.
There's a concrete boat ramp on the shore other side in that photo, if anyone reading here happens to be out during high water first time there you'll know the island is a few hundred feet SE from that. No marker buoy.
Don't know about kayaking. Is that like hiking on water? I'm kidding.
