If this foreign coal company even has the slightest idea they can get P-3939 passed, they have all literally lost their minds.
In my opinion, there is absolutely no way the Cullman County Commission will allow: 1. the $219 million dollars benefit to be disrupted (brought in by the lake) 2. the $5.8 Million per year revenue to Cullman, Walker, and Winston Counties to be eliminated 3. the $88 million revenue to local businesses around/ on the lake per year to be eliminated
Also, if the proposal considered right now to the FERC to hold the lake level at 502 msl year round continues, it has been estimated to increase property values on the lake by $.5 BILLION.
I hope that most all of you would agree with me on this matter. After all, it is the quality of our beautiful lake that is the most important to us all.
