Paleo, I have often wondered how it must look up above I-20 a couple of miles or so. I can't imagine how swift the current is up there, all I can relate it to is what the lower side of LMD looks like when all 6 gates are open. I Don't know how you guys up in the " Narrows " keep a pier at all in times like these, based on the tree trunks that come by down here I bet there like battering rams up there. 

 As narrow as it is and the river only having 9 feet of fall ( I think )  between the dams on Logan Martin, probably be tough to figure up that way.
