The Web Site is not maintained.
SLISA was too late getting put together for the relicensing by APCO by FERC to make a meaningful difference.
The lake level is not just about Smith Lake but all water downstream. It'd be nice, but given the theories and conspiracies these guys come up while reading their web page...they don't sound like a rational group. Nor do I think that thowing lawyers at APCO is going to help anything. My guess is that the developers will po APCO and get stricter rules put on them....which would be nice.
Isn't the Landfill Hyche owns the one with problems? (leakage?) Please correct me if I'm wrong. They need to put there energy in running a proper landfill if this is the case. They were denied there request to increase the intake of waste (thank goodness). My understanding is that they need to get an engineer that knows what they are doing in design and building the waste cells. ADEM should be ashamed of their lack of oversite. This landfill DIRECTLY effects the lake. Any group that has ties with this landfill owner/operator ought to be questioned. WAKE UP PEOPLE!
