I'm no expert, but I think there is some fundamental of aeronautics that requires planes to be low when taking off or landing, and it is especially noticeable around airports. They really should have disclosed the proximity of the airport before you bought your home.

And that line you typed about "who do we complain to?" probably confused me into thinking you were complaining.

But don't take it personally. A lot of people share your attitude about the lake. It just struck me as ironic that someone "isn't complaining" about the military practicing over "their" property. After all, it is that very military that provides and protects your ability to imagine that you own the lake.

The lake has a long history with the military (primarily the Air Force and the National Guard). It is a heritage that makes the lake MORE special, and the day they stop practicing over our water will be a very sad day indeed, for one reason or another.

I say let them fly, whenever and wherever they want.
